Hummels agent doesn’t rule out move to Italy.
Mats Hummels could be on the verge of a move abroad towards the end of his career if he fails to agree a new deal with Dortmund football.
Mats Hummels’ father and agent, Hermann Hummels, has revealed he has advised his son to explore a new adventure outside the Bundesliga. But has not ruled out extending his contract with Borussia Dortmund. UFABET As his current deal expires on June 30, Tuttosport reported on Sunday.
Hummels’ contract with Borussia Dortmund is due to expire in around three weeks, with both AC Milan and Roma reportedly interested in signing the 35-year-old, who could leave on a free transfer if the player fails to agree a new deal with the Black and Yellows.
AC Milan see Hummels as the experience and leadership needed to replace the summer departures of Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer, while the 35-year-old’s representatives would also back the player to seek a new challenge abroad.
‘In the next few days there will be an important meeting with the Yellow and Blacks. He needs two or three days to recharge his batteries. Then, if we do not find an agreement with Dortmund, we will evaluate other offers.’
‘What is certain is that Mats will not go to Asia, to America or too far from Munich. We don’t know what will happen, but we certainly need a solution that allows him to travel to Munich within two or three hours,’ Hummels’ agent said.
