Rune supports Lingard to fight for a position. Derby County manager Wayne Rooney has cheered Jesse Lingard for his decision to fight for his place at the Red Devils next season after having performed well during his time on loan.
Lingard has done an outstanding job. While being released on loan to play for West Ham in the second half of the last season. Before returning to the Red Devils team during the pre-season to prepare before the battle next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Lingard is in the squad for next season. And was only featured in the opening game of the 2-1 friendly win over Derby County on Sunday.
Rooney, who served as manager of the Iron Mountains, said of his former team-mates: “Jesse was in outstanding form when he joined West Ham on loan. I think that might be the starting point to bring out his potential.”
“He has been through a difficult time. Being released on loan put him back on track. He has created opportunities for himself to become one of the core of Manchester United,” said Rooney.
